Adrian Wong
Adrian is a BHS stage 4 coach in complete horsemanship and BHSII Chief Instructor, judge and top-level dressage rider.
Adrian has taught the club’s Thursday night flatwork clinics for many years and more recently has introduced poles and cones for the dressage horse. Adrian is a great confidence giver and is comfortable teaching all levels.
Lottie Williams
Lottie is experienced in teaching all abilities both for flat work and jumping. She will teach from poles on the ground onwards. Lottie really enjoys seeing partnerships grow and likes to focus on building confidence in the horse and rider whatever their level. Lottie has competed up to 2* on a home-produced horse and was shortlisted for the European 2* squad. She has produced a number of other horses to intermediate level and competed to 1.30 in show jumping and medium level dressage.
Whilst working full time for Racewood, the riding simulator manufacturer, Lottie enjoys her teaching and producing young horses for others. Lottie will be teaching show jumping for all levels on some Saturday mornings through the winter at EquiTi.
Dressage Coach Paul Davies
Paul has ridden since the age of four, competing regularly over the decades in the disciplines of show jumping, eventing and dressage. He has trained with Stephen Clarke, Sue Bradshaw, the late Kalman de Jurenac and Carl Hester. Whilst he no longer rides competitively in the dressage arena, he is still very much involved, and is the 'voice' behind the commentary microphone at Somerford Premiere League Dressage and the British Dressage North West Regional Championships.
Paul combines a busy teaching life with work at his home base, Mostyn Farm Ride and Cross Country. Paul develops the cross-country course and sets up for the various competitions that are held there. During the winter months, when not working, you may see Paul out with the Flint and Denbigh Hunt. In the summer, along with his good friend and show jump trainer Jane Gough Roberts, Paul represents the Hunt in the popular hunt relays which have become part and parcel of county agriculture shows.
Richard Jones
Richard is an international show jumper. He specialises in the production of young horses taking them through the levels from un-broken to international show jumpers.
He has trained in the UK and overseas with the highest level of riders. Richard trains all levels of riders from different spheres.
Dressage riders giving their horses a different experience to international event riders competing at 4* level. Richard sets out to build on confidence of horse and rider when training.
Michael Owen
Michael first came into the horsey limelight with his four star debut at Burghley aged just 21 'in the year 2000'. Michael made his debut at Badminton Horse Trials in 2002 at the tender age of 23.
Michael has competed at many other well known events including Blenheim, Chatsworth, Blair Castle & Bramham. His highest achievement so far is coming 1st at Ballindenisk CCI*** on The Highland Prince & being placed at Badminton Horse Trials in 2002 aboard his horse “Perks of the Job”.
FDRC look forward to hosting some of Michael's clinics during the 2019 season.
