Flint and Denbigh Riding Club (FDRC) wanted to help the Ukrainian Equestrian Federation Charity Foundation provide much needed support for Ukraine’s equestrian community and their plight to save horses.
Club members had become saddened by the graphic images of horses suffering and being released into forests to fend for themselves and decided to hold an auction of promises at the Salusbury Arms in Tremeirchion on Thursday 12th May.
The evening was very well supported and proved to be a great success with £2,400 being raised. FDRC would like to thank all those who donated promises which ranged from a 3 night stay in a Llandudno apartment, a horse ploughing experience, membership of a gliding club, various items of tack, store vouchers, vet visits, riding clinics and much more and, of course to all those who attended and bought generously.
This money will help the Foundation to sustain their free shelters and assist with further evacuation of horses.
